WHAT IS A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT?

A Virtual Assistant is a small business owner who is contracted to provide quality and professional support to other business owners, from a remote location. The administrative services offered by Virtual Assistants are diverse with many having specialised skills. With my background I specialise in administration and business consultancy with a focus on project management.
The benefit of this specialised skill set is once I understand what you wish to achieve with your project, I will be able to deliver it for you with minimal oversight, freeing up your time to focus on more pressing priorities.

I’M NOT SURE WHERE TO START OR WHAT I NEED TO OUTSOURCE, CAN YOU HELP ME?

I certainly can. Firstly, make a list of everything you do during the day and the activities which you aren’t enjoying, or those which are taking your time away from the things you would prefer to be doing. Most clients start with outsourcing the easy and obvious things and then build up from there.

HOW DO WE COMMUNICATE?

We operate virtually. Usually we will chat on the phone, email, Skype/Zoom or social media private message options. However, if you are local to Bendigo, we might meet face-to -face in your offices at times as well.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

No two clients are the same, so I offer a few packages or hourly rate options to meet the needs of your business. We will discuss these packages and rates in your complimentary session.

WHAT TOOLS DO YOU USE?

My toolkit includes a range of applications and programs. I’m flexible, so please let me know if you have a preferred sharing or storage system.

The important thing is being able to collaborate remotely. My toolbox currently includes

  • Office 365 – for email, calendar and contacts

  • One Drive or Google drive – for documents, spreadsheets and joint editing/collaboration

  • Skype or Zoom - for collaboration and video conferencing

  • Dropbox – for file storage and sharing

WHAT TECHNOLOGY AND SOFTWARE DO YOU WORK WITH?

Here are some of the programs and software applications I’m experienced in:

·         Adobe Acrobat

·         Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio)

·         Microsoft Sway

·         Social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)

·         Canva

·         Survey monkey

·         Asana and Trello - for Project Management

·         MYOB, XERO and Wave for Accounting


If you need me to work with a piece of software or a tool not listed, please ask. I am flexible and a quick learner.

HOW DO I TRUST YOU?

This is a challenging part of any partnership until rapport is built. However, I have worked in large financial institutions where I was trusted with confidential and proprietary information on a regular basis.
I’m used to keeping information confidential and I’m willing to sign your NDA before we work together if required.

WHY CHOOSE A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT OVER AN IN-OFFICE EMPLOYEE?

As a Virtual Assistant you only pay for the agreed hours which I work. As a business owner I am responsible for my own leave, tax, superannuation and equipment.
I am already trained and can hit the ground running offering support and helping with your projects. This inevitably saves you money and most importantly, gives you back your valuable time.

WHAT ARE YOUR WORK HOURS?

I am flexible and happy to work with you to determine the best times you require me for. Generally speaking though, I work Monday to Friday which also includes some evenings.
If you need to chat or need a project managed outside of standard work hours, we can negotiate something that works for both of us.

WHAT IF I DON’T NEED FULL TIME HELP?

I’m here to help you, which comes with the flexibility around the time you need. I can help with adhoc work as well as booking in more regular work to suit your schedule.
